Local Dishes

Our locally produced cuisine consists of Rich soups made with fresh vegetables spiced with organic ingredients, served with fresh pounded meals: delectable stewed peas, and traditionally seasoned sauces from our special recipes.

In Gold Coast Cuisine, it’s essential to provide detailed information about the meals we offer, including local dishes. They are known for their rich flavors, diverse ingredients, and unique culinary traditions. Here are some of our Local dishes:

  1. Fufu and Light Soup: Fufu is a staple food in Ghana made from boiled and pounded cassava and plantains. It has a smooth, dough-like consistency and is typically eaten with light soup, which is a flavorful broth made with fish, meat, or vegetables. Fufu is traditionally enjoyed by dipping small portions into the soup.

  1. Banku with Tilapia: Banku is a fermented corn and cassava dough that is boiled and served with grilled tilapia fish. It has a slightly sour taste and a smooth, doughy texture. This dish is typically enjoyed with a spicy pepper sauce called shito.
